Knowing When to Take a Step Back

Day to day life is consuming. It consumes energy, it consumes strength, it consumes time. It takes and takes, and thought it can be rewarding, by the end of the day you can be left feeling drained.

It’s normal. It’s okay.

You need to know that you’re allowed to take a step back when things are getting to be a little too much. You’re allowed to say no, allowed to relax and let yourself take a break.

Putting too much of yourself into anything will eventually exhaust your fuel, and that fuel is limited; don’t run yourself dry out of desperation to complete your tasks. If you need to sit down, just sit. If you need to take a day off, do it – You deserve it, seriously.

And know that, whatever it is you’re doing.

It will still be there for you tomorrow.
